Last season, Rocky Mountain Motorsports welcomed Bridgestone Canadian Superbike to the 3.5km Tilke-designed circuit. Teams and riders performed successful testing exercises resulting in overwhelming positive feedback on the circuit, and a high level of anticipation for the 2025 season. With motorcycle racing fans equally as excited to see RMM added to the schedule, there was heightened enthusiasm for the season ahead.
This week, Bridgestone CSBK removed the Round Four date at RMM from the 2025 Championship schedule. “The difficult decision was made due to external factors that would have prevented the championship from operating in a normal fashion.”, said CSBK in a public release.
“The venue limitations, set by city council, were unable to be overcome for the 2025 season. CSBK organizers would like to thank RMM officials for their collaboration during this process, which included a successful mid-season test during the 2024 season. The Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship remains committed to exploring potential events at RMM in the future.”
Coming into this season under new management and a renewed energy, RMM has every intention in continuing the pursuit to bring the high-energy CSBK motorcycle championship series to the circuit in 2026.
Steven Tory, RMM’s newly appointed President and CEO stated, “The RMM circuit was developed by motorsport enthusiasts for motorsport enthusiasts, and a racetrack needs racing series like this to truly make it whole. Not only does losing events of this level impact racers but it negatively impacts economic opportunities for the surrounding communities.”
“While this was a difficult decision to make, we have some work to do on a few small but key areas that are currently affecting our ability to bring this Canadian championship series to our venue at the level that racers and fans expect.” Steven went on to say, “Racers and fans of all road circuit disciplines can be confident that we are working tirelessly in the background to ensure that RMM is the premium racing destination it was designed to be, and we couldn’t be more excited.”
While it is disappointing to lose this much-anticipated national event from the calendar, 2025 is still shaping up to be the most exciting full season of operations since opening. From Public Track Days to Performance Driving Schools, and rental opportunities to Corporate Events, Rocky Mountain Motorsports is primed to be the premium destination for motorsport enthusiasts in Western Canada.
Stay tuned for updates on all the exciting ways to get your 2025 on track at RMM!
